Do you have a child who is a picky eater? A non-vegetable eater?
Try the vegetable rub below that Dr. Perilloux uses on broccoli, asparagus, carrots, green beans, squash, anything. Even this pediatrician’s kids were very picky at one time, now they will eat asparagus, broccoli and others.
Put a little olive oil or canola oil on the vegetable, stir it up, then sprinkle on the vegetable seasoning. You can either grill them outside on BBQ pit, broil in oven, or grill in the house on non-stick skillet.
Make sure everyone eats TWO BITES- gotta taste it!!
Ingredients- Makes about a cup. Save in an air tight container or old seasoning shaker.
3 tablespoons salt
3 tablespoons packed golden brown sugar
2 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
2 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
